I explore many different clays and firing types but currently I take inspiration from the rustic antique pottery of the past fusing it with current styles. My current work is made of red and dark stoneware clay fired in an electric kiln. My pieces are mostly but not limited to functional ware, i.e., mugs, dinner ware, serving bowls, large platter/dip sets, teapots, and lidded casserole dishes for the oven. I take care to ensure my functional ware is of high quality and fit for purpose, i.e. teapots pour, glazes are food safe, glazes fit clay body, handles are suitable, etc.
