Margarethe Vanderpas is a Canadian landscape painter living in Lion's Head on the Bruce Peninsula. She draws her inspiration from many sources; the waters and limestone cliffs of the Bruce Peninsula and the shores of Lake Superior and Georgian Bay. Each year she explores new regions on foot and by kayak seeking new inspiration for her bold oil paintings. She studied Fine Art at Western University and Art History at Queen's University obtaining a BAHonours followed by a BEd from Queen's.
